To understand the concept of sustainability, it is helpful to recall the United Nations’ vision of it.
According to the UN, not a quote-on-quote but rather a significant summary, sustainability means meeting the needs of the present without compromising our future generation’s access to pivotal and scarce resources.
And, along with its ESG strategy, Optimistic is committed to contributing to a more sustainable future which is why, as a company, we have adopted the ‘6 Rs’: reducing, remanufacturing, redesigning, reusing, recycling, and recovering.
Over the past few months, we have increased our capacity to lower C02 emissions and successfully implement the ‘6 Rs’. Hence, we have been reducing raw materials through advanced methods that indirectly contribute to more efficient energy consumption. We have also been at the forefront of redesigning some of our products to reutilize them and, simultaneously, lowering Optimistic’s footprint.
Furthermore, we are conscious of key recycling techniques and have implemented a remanufacturing system in which we do not need to spend more resources on a product if it meets the market needs and criteria, and we are keeping a close eye on material waste to recover.
But, of course, the journey towards sustainability is not easy and requires everyone’s contribution. That is why Optimistic is also committed to ensuring its service providers, being suppliers or contractors, only operate to the highest standards regarding the discipline to lower emissions.
At Optimistic, we believe in spending more for higher grounds that consider the future of our generations because only if the entire supply chain is as committed as we are, it is possible to reach and enrich the so-called ‘green supply chain’.
Further to all our statements, we are also producing reciprocating compressors highly needed for the hydrogen supply chain because without them, it is impossible to compress and store this friendly environment gas. We will be providing more details on this soon.
