Our CEO, Professor Bruno Valverde Cota, and our Commercial Director went on a business trip to Luanda, the capital of Angola.
Following Opitmistic’s strategic expansion plan, Professor Bruno Valverde Cota and Optimistic’s Commercial Director flew to Luanda on the 30th of September to continue in-person conversations with future partners and potential clients.
After 2 days of successful meetings, the team attended the Angola Oil and Gas Conference on the 2nd and 3rd of October.
The Angola Oil and Gas Conference is one of the most remarkable energy events in Africa. With ministerial presence and other key decision-makers in the region, the conference is a great hub to hold business meetings and get to know the main stakeholders of the Angolan market.
Our team had the chance to meet some of the most prominent companies operating in the energy sector in Angola.
About the trip, Professor Valverde Cota highlighted: “Africa is a continent of huge potential for Optimistic operations. As part of our expansion plan, we are interested to know more about the Angolan market. Not only because of our deep and old roots in the Portuguese-speaking country but also because of the immense potential for business opportunities within the industries Optimistic operates. We returned to Lisbon on the 5th of October and we brought great insights and prospects for our growth. On behalf of Optimistic, I would like to thank AICEP for being a valuable partner in arranging meetings and introducing us to key companies. As we progress, we look forward to going back to Luanda soon”.
