Together with other 40+ business entrepreneurs, our Marketing and Communications Manager, Bernardo Lemos, was present at the business meeting held at the World Trade Centre Lisbon on Monday, 22nd of April 2024.
After an outstanding first meeting in February this year in which our CEO, Bruno Valverde Cota, was one of the guest speakers, Optimistic returned to WTC Lisbon to learn from the best about ESG strategy implementation and how to action best practices.
In other topics, we learned about carbon offsetting, shifting minds to become greener, and how companies can adopt internal metrics to successfully implement their ESG strategies. For instance, as a business, we learned one needs to make sure everyone in our value chain is keeping up to date: from suppliers to distributors. We need to be certain best ESG practices are being implemented by everyone we work with.
ESG is having, and will have, a significant impact on the future of businesses. As our community tries to adopt sustainable practices for the sake of our planet and the future of younger generations, every company will need to play its active part in ensuring the future is greener and cleaner. But also, best practices are a priority in working culture: from collaborators’ well-being to fear salaries.
Optimistic is fully committed to applying the best ESG practices and will continue its journey to make sure our business is more sustainable and continues to have a significant impact on our community.
